Vietnam Reconsidered: A Talk with John Ketwig

"What was all the fuss about?" John Ketwig will address the question heard he's heard from those both older and younger than the "Vietnam Generation." Tuesday, June 18 at 6:30 pm. Ketwig is the author of " ... and a hard rain fell," a memoir of his time in Vietnam.

"Vietnam Reconsidered, focuses on the war, Vietnam-era politics and society and why it matters. Ketwig seeks to bring together aspects considered individually in other books. "The project quickly became a mosaic,"Ketwig writes in his introduction,"requiring me to fasten a lot of random pieces together and create a multi-facted  picture of the war, the times and why the are important today.

Ketwig retired after more than 35 years in the automotive industry and lives in Lynchburg.
