Book Reading & Signing: Diana Christopulos "Combat Engineer"

Diana Christopulos will present her father James' memoir, Combat Engineer: A World War II Memoir Saturday, February 1 at 1 pm at Book No Further.

James Christopulos was an officer with the US Army’s 1308th Engineer General Service Regiment during D-Day, the Battle of the Bulge and the preparation for invading Japan. Diana Christopulos, who edited and annotated the book, holds a doctorate in American history and was a college professor before transitioning to nonprofit management.

Local historian John Long says "James Christopulos was ... only one combat engineer in a massive war. But his insightful and perceptive recollections of WWII, in both Europe and the Pacific, add a needed voice to the historical record."

Combat Engineer can be purchased on line in advance or the day of the event. The event is free.
