Author Event: Rick Van Noy, "Sudden Spring"

Radford University professor Rick Van Noy will discuss his book Sudden Spring Saturday, February 16 at 2 pm. The book portrays what climate change looks like in specific Southern places to specific people.

The book, which combines stories from residents with those from local experts in geology, conservation, and government, details what climate change does, who it affects and how communities are dealing with it. The stories weave threads of history, politics, science, religion, and nature and highlight a race between salvation and destruction.

Van Noy also wrote Surveying the Interior: Literary Cartographers and the Sense of Place and  A Natural Sense of Wonder: Connecting Kids with Nature through the Seasons

The event starts at 2 pm. Books can be purchased online or in the store in advance or at the event. Use coupon code AEP190216 for 10 percent off prior to the event.
