Finding Me is a book that chronicles a widow's grief and finding out who she is now, after the loss of her husband of 50 years. Like so many who have traveled down this road of discovery, we find our identity altered after many years of life together with someone. The journey is a difficult one, with both joy and sorrow. The book also takes you through the process of grief, that is an individual and unique experience for each of us who suffer loss. When we lose someone we love, we never really get over the loss, but we get through it as each day gets easier. Somehow the memories become your strength and give you the will to move forward. Your life is forever changed but to have known such a love is worth every moment of your grief. Together you were strong, now alone you must find out who you are with half of you missing It is the author's desire that reading this book will ignite the joy in "the you" that is left and go on to discover that, the best is yet to come Vickie Tingwald was born in Missouri but raised in Iowa.
